This interview invoked my concept of utilising teddy bears as a form of self-portraiture primarily as a retort to negative opinions in the art world of mothers who are also artists. In my practice the teddy bear themselves became a symbol of parenthood pressures and ideologies of the western world - of being put through the process of parenthood, another world, used and over loved, resulting in a tattered teddy. This notion is portrayed through ‘Too loved’ where the ideological bunny teddy is scanned, processed through the digital world and printed, resulting in a disfigured teddy.
